With two days of solid hard rain we had to step off the wall. Only Bob continued under his tarp. Work picked up again on Saturday morning after the slow. Even the sun came out to say hello. We were back on track.

Yesterday seems like a dream when faced with the down pour we are witnessing today. People laughing, outdoor beers, morale through the roof - all this juxtaposed against todays scenario which features Bob working solo whilst we all take cover. Neverltheless yesterday witnessed the 'Violet Anne' come to life.

Day two and the focus is very much on the wall. Besides the May showers conditions have been perfect in this beutiful little part of Newcastle. Nina has been an incredible host keeping the TLP team fed and watered on the finest Newcastle Brown Ale & Pub grub. It's been nice seeing the reaction of the locals and the overwhelmingly positive response all round. It's a great feeling seeing the sun glimmer through the Ouseburn greenery and following a hard days toil the sun dissapear over the back of the viaduct. It's a hugely humbling experience having them here, and having everyone around to take part, document, and simply enjoy the watching the work come together.

Over the weekend The London Police joined us as planned ready and raring to go with what was install. A quick spin in the shower, short Patron Silver, and they were out the door and planning out their huge mural at the Ship Inn.
We're joined by Chinny Bond, Habiba, Doug, Chaz, and Bob. As always David has been capturing the action which involved getting the wall started, drinking good tequila, and playing pool - something the TLP take very seriously.

In true Unit44 style we have been working on this project under wraps since the begining of the year. It truly is excitng times that we can finally start sharing some information and images. We had the task of finding twenty artists, some we have a great relationship already established, and some new friendships built along the way. The line-up includes Dabs Myla, SheOne, Philip Lumbang, Handiedan, David Shillinglaw, Billy & Alex, Mr Penfold, Pixel Pancho, Remi Rough, Juice 126, Jaybo Monk, Darren Henderson, Laser 3.14, The Cloud Commission, Prefab77, Fantome, System, Derm, FiST, and LXone. The beauty of this job was finding such a contrasting group of artists, give them a similar canvas, and see how different they appear at the end. From twenty beaming white pairs of trainers we have some truly beutiful customisations.
More information coming very soon.
