A Impossible px shade film cover and two packs of PX 70 color shade film.  The quality of the refurbishment is top notch and im really looking forward to using the camera il be posting some of the results in the next week or so.

A nice extra was finding this polaroid in the bottom of the box, a portrait of the Impossible factory receptionist.

A Few weeks back i was given 9 boxes of my grandads slides, going through them i found this picture of me. As it made me laugh so much I thought id share it while i decide how to showcase the rest of his work.

Ilford Multigrade Art 300

13/09/2011 15:23

Since my beginings in the darkroom i've never been truly happy with alot of photographic paper on offer, it always seamed far too thin lacking in any texture or feeling and was genreally quite poor quality rag. So the day I found out Ilford where brining out a true 300gsm multigrade paper I ordered a sample soon as possible.

One thing that concened me on first sight of the paper was a thought that a possible lack of sharpness could occur due to the texture surface. So I hunted through a few negatives to find a couple of shots with very fine details and did a couple of test prints which you can see scans of below.

After a few hours of work with the paper I was very impressed with the results, great sharpness and no loss of detail, good tonal range with really deep blacks and a great colour. It handles archival washing well and responds great to Selenium toning, when dry it has a textured matte like surface with a slight eggshell sheen.

This is definitely my paper of choice from now on and would fully recomend even though it has a bit of a hefty price tag its well worth the investment.

Two Cinelli's And a GoPro.

It's not always about the gallery... a few times a week it's all about the lanes. 8-10 miles out of Newcastle we have miles and miles of country lanes that pierce through English countryside. With some new toys Me & Danny Hughes decided to document our 40 mile training loop.

After working hard for two weeks and not getting much riding in, me and Danny decided to head out and do a 70 mile ride in the Northumberland National Park. I'd just picked up a new camera so it came along for the journey and here are a few shots i took along the way.
